This week’s illustration Friday subject is germs… a much talked about subject these days with all the swine flue media coverage, and with school back in session it could get blown out of proportion. I have done several other swine flu illustrations in the past… Swine Flu Archives

It can be kind of scary when you are standing in line and the person behind you sneezes, or you hear the server behind the counter cough… the first thing that comes to mind is “oh no! germs!” Especially for me.. I am a germaphobe… so my brain explodes when some one coughs near me… Its worse as iv gotten older… and I can see myself living in a bubble down the road… scrubbing the skin off my hands.. but I digress…

Here is.. Germs…

Enjoy

In almost the same spirit as last week’s illustration Friday post Swine Flu Parade. I have once again tackled the topic of the swine flu. Though it was kind of hard not too with the illustration Friday subject being contagious, but it would have been just as easy with a subject like, dupe, mass panic, or media fraud. I might be beating a dead horse on this, because it seems like the media might be quieting down the swine flu epidemic and moving on to more important things like, who Jamie Foxx picked to win American idol and what stones the Pope has been kissing.

But I as usual digress…. I actually sketched this up two weeks ago, but didn’t render it until today… Seems I have been so all consumed with the swine epidemic that I just have a great deal of piggies on the mind… but who doesn’t!

Rate, Comment, Enjoy

The illustration Friday subject this week is parade, but in the spirit of what the media has turned into an over-inflated menace. I bring you swine flu parade! I have been in awe of how this problem has progressed over the last few weeks. It went from one case here and there to two cases here and there and all of a sudden its like an overwhelming three or four cases here and there. Run for the hills, wear gas masks and don’t leave your house…. Swine flu! Swine flu! All is lost………! Really?

Could this simply be a case of, “pay no attention to the man behind the curtain?” I mean nothing distracts the populace more then a vicious outbreak of the FLU! I mean SWINE flu! Could this strategic smoke screen make people forget about the other giant purple rhino in the room? Recession!

I think so…. what do you think?
